Further Insight & Opinion
Papagayo is a sight for a shopper’s sore eyes in Kalk Bay. Whereas most of the shops that line the Main Road qualify as boutiques at best, Papagayo is a veritable warehouse of goodies – which even the most frugal of the wallet-brandishers coursing up and down the pavement will find welcoming.

Imports from Mongolia to Bolivia – a huge range of handicrafts, textiles and clothing – are on dispaly here, at the right prices; it takes at least an hour to paddle your way through it all. Don’t forget to pet the cat on your way out – if your arms aren’t too full!
