Kalula Airlines

Kalulu offers low-cost flights throughout South Africa and the surrounding countries.

Direct routes available:

• Johannesburg to Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, George

• Cape Town to Johannesburg, Port Elizabeth and Durban

• George to Johannesburg

• Port Elizabeth to Durban and Johannesburg

Payment

A round trip flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town will run about 2200 Rand on Kalula. For non-South Africans, tickets can be purchased by credit card, and the credit card must be shown when boarding. Infants are charged R50 per trip and allowed one carry-on.

Luggage

Only one carry-on bag per person is allowed. It mist be 7kg or lighter and be smaller than 115cm. One person item, like a  purse, briefcase, or laptop bags, may also be taken on board. Checked baggage must weigh less than 20kg. Bags over 20kg will cost an additional R25 per kilo if you pay at the airport. Excess baggage may be purchased at reduced rates up to 24 hours before flying. No one bag may weigh more than 32kg.

Planes

Kalula flies only 737 planes.

Meals and drinks

Snacks are sold on board and range from 20-30 Rand each. Wine and beer costs 15-25 Rand.
