Review
Villa Montebello is the type of B&B that says it’s older-child-friendly, but where you have a hard time imagining anyone under 60 staying there.

Four-star accommodation, the villa is set on beautiful grounds overlooking Hout Bay, with select views of the ocean and plentiful mountain sites. The grounds back up to the peak and there are hiking possibilities from the backyard.

Rooms include a nice monogrammed touch on the pillows and tea/coffee capabilities.

There is a pool for guests to swim, and owners live on-site. The best room is by far the Presidential Suite, which has a killer bathroom and expansive sleeping area with an optional pull-out couch.

Villa Montebello has a ‘quiet’ feel to it and would be best for couples who plan on early evenings.
