Review
Groot Constantia is a large, heavily-touristified wine estate. The tastings are generous and a good value… if you like their wines. I was not of fan of the Blanc de Noir 2005, Bouquet Blanc 2004, Pinotage 2004 or Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc 2005. In general, they were too dry for my taste, bordering on acidic.

I did purchase a bottle of the Groot Constantia Muscat de Frontignan, however. Although on the higher end of their non-award winning wines, it was still a good value for approximately R60.

Groot Constantia is best known for their Gouverneurs Reserve and Grand Constance labels, which are generally four times as expensive as the other bottles.
