SA Blog recommends a look inside? Yes – great spot for tourists’ business and pleasure both.

Further Insight & Opinion
For visitors, this has to be Cape Town’s most convenient mall. It’s perched right above the CBD on trendy Kloof Street (which is an extension of Long Street – just keep walking uphill on Long, and it eventually turns into Kloof), and has all the shops to meet a tourist’s basic needs: photo developing (Kodak), postal services (Postnet), grocer’s (Woolworths), internet cafe, gym, and smoothie-&-wrap joint (Kauai).

Moving beyond the necessities, there are plenty of more frivolous things to spend your money on, too: a movie at the Labia Theatre, for instance, or books at Exclusive Books; there are also health, women’s wear, shoe and coffee shops, and the best little wine emporium on the block, Wine Concepts.

Last, the Lifestyle Centre is surrounded by a mall’s equivalent of remora fish – hangers on, parasites – which offer plenty of good browsing. The intersection of Kloof St. with Park and Rheede is noted for its cafes, CD stores, vintage bric-a-brac shops and galleries. Park at the Centre (underground; buy something at one of the Centre’s shops for a discount) and walk around for an hour or two. Great fun!
