Snippet
Afternoon and evening meals range from R35 to R45, and their professional chef cooks up fresh mielie pap (stiff porridge/fufu) and meat stew, served with carrots and green beans, white samp (umngqusho omhlophe), served with stewed carrots and cabbage, and steamed bread (Isonka samanzi), served with mutton and chicken stew. All of the meals go down well with Liziwe’s homemade ginger beer (non-alcoholic) – or with her mqombothi (sorghum beer – very alcholic).

Review
If you want a taste of something different in Cape Town, Liziwe is more than happy to oblige, with a delicious African meal in her restaurant. You can phone and book for lunch and dinner – and they also breakfast (though primarily for the guests at Liziwe’s B&B).

For breakfast, you have a choice of continental, English, Scottish, pancakes, or an omelette and toast. All meals are served in Liziwe’s beautiful dining room – wallpapered with the African savanna and the Big Five!

Buffets can be arranged for five people and up, and Liziwe’s also accommodates special requests. Don’t miss its delicious meals – the place is also neat and the friendly owner asks you to come again.
