Further Insight & Opinion
Catwalk TV has the biggest World Cup screen on the Atlantic Seaboard – that I’ve seen, at any rate. The soccer is beamed on to one of the bar’s walls from a projection unit mounted high above. The image is crisp and clear, and the sound quite loud. It’s a perfect set-up for a footie junkie.

Seating on the viewing deck is limited, though – the front row has just six stools, while those who watch from the bar, which is below the projected images, will strain their necks.

Catwalk TV is one of Cape Town’s gay hubs – it’s part of the AroKan group, which publishes the Rainbow Guide. It’s a very friendly place with a well-stocked bar and a decent menu. It’s sure to be hopping from the semifinals onwards!
