Tasting notes
You won’t find better than this for R23 per bottle – click here for a map to Green Point’s Main Road (Ultra Liquors is just down from the Woolworth’s food shop). The bottle’s screw-cap might warn some tipplers off, but it’s really just a friendly, non-verbal welcome: enjoy this right now, and don’t worry about pomp and circumstance.

The blend is complicated, to say the least, with Shiraz, Pinotage and Cab making up the bulk of the juicy pie. Buy half a case, and you’ll never have to scramble for a contribution to parties, picnics and other casual affairs.
