The Magaliesberg: A Locals’ Secret Paradise

The Magaliesberg (pronounced ma-HALL-eez-berg), a region located primarily in South Africa’s North West Province, a few hours’ drive west of Johannesberg, is a well-kept locals’ secret for weekend getaways. Visitors to SA tend to orient themselves east, travelling in their droves to the Kruger National Park – but meanwhile the Gauties in their midst are dreaming of this slender strip of paradise in the opposite direction.
