Into the Wilderness: The heart of the garden route.

This weekend (well Friday-Tuesday) we are driving up to Wilderness for a little break away.

We intend to do as much or as little as we feel like, but on the cards are some fishing (perhaps in my new little inflatable), some surfing and maybe even some golf. There will likely be some cards to be played, karaoke to be “sung”. I may well just sit and read a book, glorious.

Wilderness is roughly a 4-5 hour drive along the scenic N2 highway and lies right smack in the middle of the garden route, with close access to Knysna, Plettenberg bay and George.

I will rather tell you more about it when I get back, because it will be fresh in my mind. In the meantime you can read about the garden route here.

I wouldn’t mind taking a drive to the Tsitsikamma forest, as it’s donkey’s ears since I was last there. Yes, ears indeed. Last time we were there I lost a game of cards and had to go swimming in the middle of the night, and was probably severely hypothermic, hilarious………… Addo Elephant Park is in the vicinity, and would be high on my list if I had not just come back from the Kruger and still smelt like a tusker.

So once again there will likely be a blog doldrum until I get back, unless I can get my hands on a 3g card tomorrow morning. Roll on Wimax!
