Airports in South Africa
There are two major international airports in South Africa: OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg) and Cape Town International Airport. Although Durban International Airport does receive international flights, they come only from Mauritius and Swaziland; hence the other two airports receive the rest of the international flights.
OR Tambo International Airport (JNB/FAJS)
Formerly known as Johannesburg International, OR Tambo International Airport is busiest on the continent and the largest in South Africa. The airport is located in Kempton Park, about 20km / 12 miles east of downtown Johannesburg and serves over 13 million passengers each year. More than 40 airlines fly regular flights to and from this airport.

Cape Town International Airport (CPT/FACT)
This is the second biggest airport in South Africa, catering for about 7 million passengers each year. The airport is located at 20 km / 12 miles from the city center. Each year the number of airlines serving the airport increases. Currently there are flights from and to destinations all over the world.
